Let's stop dividing over the small issues.

Mark 3:24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Not too long ago I lost my dad to cancer. It is an awful way to see someone go. The body starts to fight against itself. Cells begin to form before old ones die out.

As I began to look at what cancer does to the body, God laid in my spirit that this is how His Body is looking. We divide over matters that have no effect on our purpose and timing. I've seen people leave churches because of disagreements as small as who cleans the church up. The body fights over whether we are baptized in Jesus' name or in the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. Fights arise about what kind of music should be played or if there should even be music at all. People leave churches and tear them down as they head to a church that is now feeding them better than their last.

I believe God is grieved by the fact that so many small cells are causing such destruction to His Body. We don't realize how much damage our bickering and fighting is doing to the Body of Christ. What does it matter if you play music and we don't? What does it matter that we speak in tongues and you don't? If we believe Romans 10:9-10 "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved", then we can work together.

It is time out for spreading cancer throughout Christ's Body with bickering, back biting, and causing division. Souls are what matter and we are losing them to gangs and other religions that can "agree" on what they believe. If you leave a church, as long as you stay saved and in the body of Christ it shouldn't even matter. We have to grow healthy and not destroy each other in the process of trying to build ministry.

Division is one kind of cancer that can be cured without any chemo or radiation- this kind of cancer turns around when the Body makes a conscious decision to turn our differences into assets instead of liabilities. Let's stop dividing over the small issues. Instead let's celebrate our differences, unite and expand the Kingdom.
